Contamination of the measuring stylus by dust or similar impurities can have a negative influence on the measuring result. Particularly with small sphere diameters, dust grains act like a kind of spacer and the probe thus acquires incorrect measurement data. In order to avoid these error influences, it is recommended to clean the styli regularly. This is usually done manually and increases machine downtimes. With this cleaning brush, ZEISS now offers an automated solution that both reduces machine downtime and significantly reduces the risk of probing errors.
